    ACCOMMODATIONS

     

     

    The Mayan Rivera, one of the most enchanting sought after destinations in the world. Participants will stay in a real life Eco Biosphere Reserve, located on the Caribbean Coast of Mexico, near the Mayan Ruins of Tulum, south of Cancun. Harnessing Solar & Wind power, Rain Catchment & Grey Water Systems, It serves as a model for sustainable development today.

     

     

     

     

     

    Dip your feet in the warm Caribbean waters of the white plain beach just outside your door; take a kayak trip up an ancient Mayan canal with a friendly Mayan Guide, or a snooze on a hammock on the deck of your Cabana rocked gently by the sea breeze. All while learning about Sustainable Living, Alternative Energy, Renewable Fuels & Green Living in the largest Environmental Reserve in the Yucatan Peninsula.

     

     

     

     

    Participants will stay in private or shared (2-3 person) Eco Cabanas, each with stunning views of the ocean / lagoon & access to clean bathrooms & showers. To preserve the natural essence of the Reserve, the Cabanas do not have electricity (candles will be available). There is an Excellent Restaurant on-site hosting fresh food at incredible rates. Classes are held in a Jungle or beach side learning center, 5hrs per day. Enjoy scheduled fieldtrips to surrounding destinations, while still having enough time to take in the sites, tours, Scuba dive, even visit the incredible nearby Mayan Ruins of Tulum.     Classes are held 6 days, 5hrs per day, accepting arrivals on May 30 & departures on June 6.

     

    The cost of the program starts at $1199 payable in US dollars.

     

    *Fee includes class tuition, shuttle service to & from Cancun airport, lodging (may be shared rooms depending on the rate you’ve chosen), workshops, materials, supplies & transportation for any scheduled fieldtrips.

    Can I use Alternative Energy without sacrificing my lifestyle?

     

    Absolutely! This is a common question. Don’t think that you will need to give up anything. Our home for example, is 100% Off the Grid & we enjoy life more comfortable then most. Plasma TV, blender for margaritas (a must), swimming pool in the living room, satellite internet & WIFI, the works. All supported by Solar & Wind Power only.

     

     

    Where will I stay?

     

    Agua-Luna works to make sure everyone is in the same facility for 2 reasons… It’s always better to learn with others interested in the same thing & so that we can evaluate, critique & sometimes even convert the establishment to some form of self sufficiency.

     

     

    Are kids allowed?

     

    Of course. The youth will be the change makers of the future, they’re the most important participants. Contact Us for fee information. Also parents are responsible for their children when onsite.

    How will I get there?

     

    You’ll be flying into Cancun International Airport where a friendly English speaking Agua-Luna representative will be waiting with a shuttle to & from the facility at no extra cost.

     

     

    What do I need to bring?

     

    We recommend that participants bring swimsuit, light cotton clothing with short & long sleeves, hat or cap, sunglasses, sandals or wet shoes, biodegradable insect repellant, sun block lotion,, towel, simple camera. We suggest binoculars and snorkel gear if you have them.

     

     

    Do I need a passport?

    What language are the workshops given in?

     

    Typically the workshops are conducted in English, however all Agua-Luna staff are fluid in both English & Spanish.
